Countering Hate with Art, Community Support, and Strong Design
Client: Temple De Hirsch Sinai (in house)
Project Description: advertising collateral promoting a special Shabbat service celebrating the rededication of Temple’s garden after it had been desecrated with Holocaust-denying graffiti. The garden wall was restored and repainted with a mural by students in the Northwest School’s public art class. The evening also commemorated the anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s death. The ornaments on the poster mimic the grates of the garden site, and the background photo is of the fresh mural.
